marketing tip –
narrow your audience.
Find your niche and stick to it.
It’s common to assume that if you’re marketing your business to as many people as possible, you’ll come up with large results. We’ve got a truth bomb to drop: when you speak to everyone, you speak to no one. In other words, narrow down what your company does and speak to only the people who would want your services. This establishes you as the expert in your category, which in return boosts your sales and advances your company into its own market niche.
Don’t try to capture everyone.
When we meet with our clients at DIAZ, our first priority is to figure out who their client is. You can’t sell to Sally if you don’t know her. We figure out what she likes, what she does in her spare time, and what it takes to convince her to buy from our client over her other choices.
You have to know who your audience is. Don’t try to capture everyone. Just try to capture Sally—and you’ll catch all of her friends too.
Be more selective and you’ll be more effective.
